BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 2 years of TTC, I'm (cautiously) ecstatic to announce that I'm pregnant!!! Someone pinch me! My blood tests confirmed yesterday that this is real - you know, just in case all 10 HPT's weren't working correctly.

I was impatiently waiting for CD1 to get here so I could schedule the battery of required fertility tests in order to get started with treatment. I thought I was having another 60+ day cycle so when we went out of town for Thanksgiving, I didn't think twice about testing and in fact I left my basal thermometer at home because I just needed a break. During our trip we had a conversation about how we just felt defeated by this process and how we had lost any hope in conceiving naturally.

Back home my alarm went off and I decided, what the heck, I'm going to pee on an internet cheapie. To my surprise and disbelief, there were 2 distinct lines. I was in complete denial and told myself that I would go back to bed and test again the next day. I couldn't get back to sleep and I ended up on the internet searching the gallery of HPT tests on fertility friend - trying to find something that told me that I was crazy and seeing lines that were not there! After seeing 30 or so BFP's that looked just like mine, I hopped out of bed and peed on a digital. The whole time I was thinking - don't get your hopes up, don't get your hopes up.

"Pregnant" appeared, clear as day, and I ran into the bedroom and stuck the test in front of Mr. Baby Fever's face. He was still groggy from just waking up but he got the point when he saw me bawling. It was a moment that I had pictured in my head for literally years and it felt surreal to have it playing out in real life. I actually had a whole elaborate plan (involving Prego pasta sauce lol) for how I was going to tell Mr. Baby Fever but this was so much better! We couldn't be happier and, wow, this baby has perfect timing! We're praying/hoping/wishing for a sticky baby.

Moral to the story - don't lose hope, even when things seem hopeless!

Aprox. 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant
