Week 21: Banana

"Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch."

How far along? 21wks & 6 days!

Maternity clothes? My belly is finally growing and I'm starting to feel more pregnant than bloated! I'm in maternity pants full time and wear a mixture of regular/maternity shirts. I'm thinking of ordering a few more maternity tops/dresses this week in preparation for summer in AZ.

Stretch marks? No stretch marks and I'm applying anti-stretch mark cream.

Sleep? I'm only comfortable sleeping on my left side, which isn't very comfortable to do the entire night. Still this.

Best moment this week? Our nursery is painted and we received our stroller...this is starting to feel more "real"!

Movement? Our little guy is an active one and I'm starting to notice his sleep patterns, very cool!!

Food cravings? I caved and bought a box of funfetti cupcake mix, I haven't had this since I was 5! I figure that I can cheat a little on my low-sugar diet for Easter weekend!

Gender? It's a Boy!!

Labor signs? Nope.

What I miss? I miss not having to go to the restroom 15 times/day!

What I'm looking forward to? Labor & Delivery! Oh and our Bradley classes start next week!

Milestones: We started our nursery!

Emotions: Excited.
