Wishlist Wednesday: UPPAbaby Vista

Mr. Baby Fever and I spent Saturday stroller comparison browsing. The workers at Buy Buy Baby were so incredibly helpful in showing us what each stroller has to offer, what the main differences are and how to fold/unfold each stroller. They even got us water jugs to place in the strollers for more realistic test drives. I highly recommend spending some time test driving several strollers side by side before you purchase. I went into the store 90% sure that I was getting a particular stroller and ended up absolutely hating it in the store.

We browsed a few strollers recommended for tall parents (I'm 5'10'' and Mr. Baby Fever is 6'4'') and fell in love with the UPPAbaby Vista! Yes, it is a tad pricey but I really feel like it will meet all of our needs and besides a cheap umbrella stroller for traveling, we won't have to purchase another stroller. I love the bassinet that comes with it and the reversible seat so baby can face us when younger. The car seat adapter will snap in a Chicco Key Fit 30 (the car seat we're getting), most of the other strollers that we like offer straps to secure in a car seat but this just doesn't seem as safe to me as a snapping system. We of course love the telescopic handle and the no kick rear axle, perfect for tall parents! I also love that it can easily adapt to a double stroller, we won't have to buy another stroller for #2!

I think we have a winner!

  2. You add on a rumble seat (I think this costs $150) to turn it into a double. It is an upright seat and can be used for children 6 months and older so this might not be a great choice for twins.

Here is more info on the rumble seat: http://www.uppababy.com/products/product.php?id=91
